Privacy Policy — My Pings

My Pings is a Chrome extension by AI4Context. It shows an on-demand list of alerts from sources you choose.
Data we process (on your device)
- Source URLs, titles, and types you add (RSS, GitHub, ICS, HN, Reddit, Gmail).
- Ping items fetched on refresh (title, link, dates, read state).
- UI language, priority keywords, and silence timers per source.
- GitHub personal access tokens, if you provide one (stored in
chrome.storage.local). - Gmail OAuth tokens managed by Chrome when you connect Gmail (metadata scope only).
Data fetched on refresh
- RSS/ICS: feed content from URLs you add.
- GitHub: public API for events you configure.
- Hacker News: Algolia HN API (public).
- Reddit: public JSON for subreddits you choose.
- Gmail: unread message metadata (from, subject, date) — no email body.
What we do not do
- We do not read your operating-system notification center.
- We do not monitor browsing in the background.
- We do not upload your sources or pings to AI4Context servers.
- We do not sell your data.
Permissions
storage— local sources, pings, and preferences.identity— Gmail OAuth (only if you add Gmail).- Optional host access — for origins you add (feeds, Reddit, HN, etc.).
